pete, Farmall didn't put LP on tractors, from the "Factory" till the Super Ms. particulary The Stage IIs.
So yours is a so called "field conversion" Chances stand to reason that the serial # will end in a X1. Meaning that it was originally a gasoline engine from the factory. Treat this tractor like any other project. Is the engine loose, or is it stuck.
if loose then the problem is either fuel or ignition. How is it overall. etc, etc,
Is it rare.....NO, lots of them around. Hope this helps.
Later,
John A.
.
ps...Start very, very low. Its easier to go up than to come back down. If it were me, start somewhere between $200 and $500 depend on wether it is loose or not, how the rear rubber is, and the tin. I have an ol M traded for, like yours, but stuck, got it for $200.
