While bushhogging, the PTO will jump out of gear occasionaly. Is there any adjustment to the PTO shaft? If not, what should I look at to find the source of the problem? I would like to get it fixed as it is quite annoying.

If you have the early style, pull it out and build up the notches with weld. It won't be perfect unless you build up the matching notches, but should get you by with less aggravation.

I have the same problem with an M. When mowing I snap a horse lead over the end of the rod and hold it in gera. It has the old style PTO. It only does this while running the mower. On the baler it is fine and won't jump out of gear. I switched the PTO with the newer style and it is just fine.

Is there an update for the 1944 H PTO?
