I have a 1974 Ih 454 and it has pedals that I have never seen before. It has the normal 2 brake and 1 clutch pedal at the front of your feet but at the back it also has 3 pedals for your heel. now 1 is for the diff lock. then beside that there is another pedal then on the left side there is also another pedal. I can not find these in the manual and my local IH dealer has no idea what they are for. I can email a pic to you if that helps you help me.

The lever that you see on the left hand side of the tractor when sitting on the seat is the transmission park lock. You pull it up to engage the brake and then an idiot light in the center of the dash will light up to tell you that it is on. To release it, there should be a little bar on the bottom of the lever that you pulled to engage it in the first place. The pedal on the right hand side when sitting on the tractor is for the auxilliary hydraulic outlets at the back of the tractor. It is likely that the tractor didn't originally have hydraulics, so the person made their own pedal to actuate a retrofit hydraulic system. We have a 2500 industrial (a industrialized 574), and that is how ours is. Hope it helps!

Yes, Chad is correct on the function of the "pedals". For the hydraulic, we do have the same lever on our 1972 454D, and it looks identical - was bought that way from the factory. Don PA

Are they actually pedals or are they the levers for the hydrolics? They are on the same side and just a bit higher than the diff lock...
