If you own a 2001-02-03 chevy pickup check your parking brake,Set the brake and try to pull forward. Hope your holds, mind dosen't. Still in warranty and dealer is debating if they will cover them.I have checked back with them 3 time and they tell me they are waiting for a call. So check your's before some one get hurt or other.

Have you tried depressing your foot brake after setting the parking brake. I had the same problem with my '92, now I could park on a steep grade in neutral (although I wouldn't lay in front of it!). Depressing the foot brake helps set brake mechanism. I realize your '01 probably has rear disk but it may have the same effect. Thats also how we set the Mico brake locks in our fire trucks.

I have the same problem with a 2000 GMC. The dealer replaced it twice, but it has quit again.

I have a 2002 2500HD and so far the Parking brake works good. If its set the truck won't move!
