Did they make Farmall A or 140 tractors as a lowboy?

No 140 Lowboys, but Hebard Company in Chicago took Farmall A parts and made Shop Mules. They are lowered same way as the Cub Lowboys, but they are not off center. Rather you straddle the transmission when driving them.

Marvelous picture. What's a shop mule? Were they just for pulling carts around in a distribution yard or something like that? Did the Hebard tractor have a Farmall hitch system or just a drawbar? I assume the tractor in the picture is a rare thing.

They were used for pulling carts and wagons or other towing work such as airplanes. Also had some attachments available, Snow plow, mower, winch, rotary brush, etc. Some were used by the military. No hitch except a drawbar. Some had PTO, some not. Most had the standard 24 inch rear wheels of the A and 15 inch fronts, but some had 18 inch rears and smaller fronts that 15 inch, not sure of the size.
