I bought a 1206 a month ago. Today I put it on the dyno and it only had 100 hp so I turned up to the pump and easly got 140hp. Is this too much? Or should I turn it down alittle? It runs excellent and had good black smoke when it was being dynoed. Just wondering what all you guys think.

Thanks alot from all you guys that replied. I think I will leave the pump set the way it is now and put a pyro on it. One more question if you guys dont mind. The left brake only works if I push real hard. I took it apart and had 2 real good used disk out of our 856 that I put in. The ones in the 1206 were shot. I put it all together and bleeded it and I still need to push real hard to make it work. What else could be causing this problem. I know I got it together right because I have fixed them on our 856 before plus I went by the shop manual. Thanks for any help. Also I have a good brake piston and seals on it.

It would be smart to install a PYROMETER on it and i would install the probe BEHIND the turbo in the exhust pipe about 2 to 3 inches and never let it get over 950 as that will be close to 1250 -1350 on the hot side . By installing the probe their if it MELTS OFF then it goes out the pipe not thru the charger.

I farm with (2)1206's that have never been on the dyno since I bought them. Both must be in the 130-140 hp range as they will pull a 21 ft disk,14 ft trail chisel, and 24 ft field cultivator in high 1st with TA forward. They are as stout as my 1456.

Just dont over weight or over load a turned up 1206 and you will be OK.

Factory came out at 112 hp. I run mine at 115 hp. At 140 could cause some problems.
