Cmore's fast hitch wouldn't raise so filled up with 20w non-detergent. Then discovered this afternoon that Cmore was low on hydraulic oil again...because it's going into crankcase!! Drained probably quart to quart and one half off out of top petcock on pan. How hard to fix? Do I remove the hydraulic pump and install new gasket?? Is this difficult?? Thanks for any and all advice..Cmore

You have to remove the pump. It will have on the shaft either an regular seal or an o-ring. If the shaft is badly grooved you will need a speedy sleeve to put over the shaft. This is no problem if it is a seal. If it is an o-ring, you will have to have the hole the shaft goes through enlarged to allow room for the speedy sleeve. Good idea to replace the gasket where between the pump and the block, and two o-rings that fit between the oil tubes (from the resevoir) and the pump. There is also a seal between the two halves of the pump that should be replaced. There is more than one pump, you might want to take yours to your Case-IH dealer to be sure you get the right parts, unless you want to try just the o-ring or seal first and see if it works.

The correct oil is Hytran. If you use engine oil, the original touch control was designed for SAE 10.
