I have a M with a aftermarket live pump on. I have the return line from my 2 spool valve going into the filler cap with a "T" fitting. I when the tractor runs oil shoots out of the top. This is that way I was told to plumb the lines. Or should I return it into on of the 90 deg. fitting on the side? I need help so I can cut hay.

Plumb the return into the drain hole on the bottom of the tank.

Okay, first let me say that I'm NOT an authority on after-market live hydraulics. I'm assuming that your pump uses the old "Lift-all" or belly pump setup as the reservoir for the live pump. Oil may be returned to the top of the pump under the filler cap, but if the live pump runs more oil than can go down that pipe and let air out at the same time, you'll have a mess. Unless someone has completely gutted that Lift-all pump assembly, you may not have much luck returning to one of the ports on the side. I suppose, however, that if the control rod for the Lift-all pump is all the way forward, oil could be returned to the reservoir through a side port. If you aren't having any luck returning it at the top, you might try the side. If you do this, however, DO NOT for any reason pull that Lift-all control rod back while the tractor is running!
