I just tore down a d282 in a 560 I just got. It was stuck and I did the usual soak and rock till it turns trick, well I broke one sleeve and piston. I have some good used ones saved from previous junk. All the other pistons fit tight and all the bearings are good. Should I just poke one sleeve and piston in it and see how it runs? I have a piston and sleeve kit,but I hate to just waste it if it is really not needed. Have any of you put in one sleeve and piston? Also does anyone know of a place to get a head gasget set for less than $85.00

I have done a ring job on the neighbor's 560D and replaced one piston in the process. I have also put one jug in a KT1150 Cummins. I would patch it right and just do the one cylinder. I would mic your used stuff for taper etc. and select the best one. It will work fine.
