M radiator removal woes

I have to get my radiator repaired on my M, but the two bolts on the bottom won't come loose. It was suggested to me to simply torch them off, and remove remaining stud after the radiator was removed, then replace studs with standard bolts upon reinstallation. Is this a good idea? Or is there a trick that I'm missing? Thanks for the help, and have a great day!

I'm looking at doing the same on my H. This has been such a repeated question, if there's any way you can post those pics at this site, I think it would help a lot of folks. Thanks for your input.

You can't see it, but the nuts on the stud bolts are castle nuts and are secured with a cotter pin. Not easy to get out. Sometimes the studs will unscrew out of the radiator, but they are usually corroded in there real tight, or the studs may have been brazed or soldered in some time over the years.
