A 1957 IH350 Utility with a Lord front end loader with pump powered by a front drive shaft.

I replaced the two bucket "curl" hyd. cylinders. The cylinders are now very noisy and there seems to be excessive "chatter" and "bounce" when extending and retracting. The "lift" cylinders are fine. I notice that the pistons are quite hot. I've cycled these repeatedly and bled everything I could think of. The only change made was going from a 2 1/2" bore to a 2" bore cylinder. Any ideas? Thanks- Joe

Are your cylinders new or are they known to be in OK condition?

Just speculation: it strikes me that the rods could be bent and are not willingly sliding in and out of the packing. Bent rods will likely be accompanied by oil leakage as they have egged-shaped the packing gland bores.

Yes, they are brand new cylinders. There are no leaks.
