rare no, desirable yes. argueably one of the best gas tractors ever built for horsepower verse fuel efficiency { and darned good looking too} p.s. still looking for serial numbers to add to the list of super H's still out there - have over 200 super H's listed already. Pat in Wisc.

I wouldn't say rare, the Stage 1 Super H is not worth much more than the straight H. I would call the Stage 2's "desireable" because of live hydraulics and other minor changes to distinguish them from Stage 1's. Only made the in 1954 and the last couple of months of 1953. They will usually bring, say, $200-500 or more than a Stage 1 in the same condition.

Farmallkid: Rare is kind of a relative term, you might say rare compared to what. Like the others said close to 400,000 H's but it took 1939 to 1952, roughly 12 to 13 years, so you could say 30,000 roughly per year. Super H 53 and 54 or about 15,000 per year. Then look at what followed , 300 for a couple years. I don't know the exact numbers but it must be close to 40,000. Then came the 350 for couple of years, again I don't know the exact numbers but my guess is about half what the 300 came in at. My thoughts, 350 is the rare one. In terms of rare tractors, none of them qualify. When you have less than 5 of a given model across North America, that's rare.

HM's Rite; Farmall made 21,916 in 1953 and 10,052 in 1954. They have a hard time making it to the scrap pile so you should see many in the farms and sheds across America. Easy to repair
and good working tractors.
1953 Serial numbers 501-22201
1954 Serial numbers 22202-29285
Not a rigid accounting, may have been X amount
of regular H's in these totals
I would like to get one of these or a Super C for
a utility work scene.

Obviously they are not as common as the H, but there's plenty of Super H's around. I know of at least a half dozen legitimate SH's within 10 miles of where I live. I also know of a couple of fakes! (SH decals applied to otherwise stock H's...)

Roughly 30,000 produced; 1/3 of those are stage II's. Compared to 60-70,000 Super M's, 100,000 Super C's and almost 400,000 straight H's you could say kinda rare ;)
