I just bought an M tractor. It was sold as a Super M, which is what the hood decal says. However, the tag on the clutch housing only specifies Model M. Which do I have? I'm guessing the hood was possibly changed, and the tag is correct? Also, the serial # is FBK-72503. The seller did not know the age of the unit, and I'm trying to determine this as well. It is set up for multi-fuel capability, but is missing a shutter-type assembly that mounts by the radiator (?), or so I was told. Any info as to availability of parts to make the multi-fuel system usable again? And are there any benefits to using the multi-fuel system? This is my first Farmall, so any and all information y'all can give me is much appreciated. Thanks for the help!

Your M is 1944 model year, definately not a super M. It is very easy to put super M decals on a regular M.
