What can I do to stop the disk brake disks in my 54 super H from glazing??? I rebuilt the entire brakes on this ol freind last fall, used it for a short while, an the brakes worked fine,, then about 2 hrs later the brakes were acting like they were not grabbing. Is there a better way, or better disks to use? Or could an adjustment help??? Thanks!! ChadS

It sounds like the balls in the ramps are sticking. This was a problem with these disk brakes if they set for a long time without being used. You may need to take them apart and put a little grease on the balls and ramps. The only way your disks would have a glaze on them is if you drove the tractor with the brakes locked and they got hot in which case you would need to sand the surface of the disks with sand paper. Hope this helps and good luck. (I WANT A SUPER H. My dream tractor! (My dad had a Super H.))
