I like both Case and IH. We have both. Currently I have a '54 SC but no H Farmall. I understand the SC tested out at 28 drawbar horsepower in June of '53. How does this compare to the H? The SC got a horsepower increase its last two years of production. Did the H also with the Super H? Overall how do these two tractors compare performance wise? Thanks, Lance

Lance,

I have both an early SC and an H. I think the test of the SC was under-stated at 28... My '42 dynoed at 33, and I had the RPM set a little low. Actually, I think their engine power is about equal, but since the SC has more of its' weight on the drive axle, it would out-pull the H. It would be very close.
