I am hoping that somebody will know how I might find some information on an international 624 that i have just purchased. I would like to ascertain the year in which it was built, where? what horsepower? lifting capacity of the loader? 3 pth etc. The serial number is 815684. Thanks for helping.

Hi, there were three around our neighborhood.
Two had 8+4R transmissions and the other one had some sort of power shift transmission. I believe they used the 206D engine the same as in the 584.
Were a good pulling tractor, would out pull JD 3010. There were larger models 724 and 824.

My 2 cents
JB

Hello J. Klein Rot, --- 31 / March / 2004 ---

JB is right, your International "624" has a D206 engine in it. The 624D was made from 1965 to 1972.

I have the IH Book from Germany; "Buschmann / Dittmer / Hood International Harvester Company DATENBUCH DER SCHLEPPER
AUS NEUSS AM RHEIN 1937 bis 1997"
and it has all models of tractors made at the
IH Plant in Neuss on Rhine, Germany. Very, very good book (and complete SERIAL NUMBERs listing).

Matthias Buschmann E-Mail "matbush@freenet.de"

The D206 engine -- 4 cylinders / 60 (58) Hp.

I don't have the book with me now, E-Mail me at "farmall28@yahoo.com" and I will give the SERIAL NUMBERs by the year of you International "624" tractor.

Regards, Milton

thanks to all for the info on the I-624. I haven't actually purchased the tractor but I did put down a hefty deposit to hold it while I learned more about it. From the various info sources it appears to be a pretty good tractor (it's my first so i'm a bit nervous) It has a loader that like the rest of the tractor is in good condition. new seat etc. i took it for a spin and everything seems to work fine. They (the dealer) is inspecting the clutch today as it was riding high. The shuttle shift is working fine. The rear tires are crappy but i found a new set. Are there particular things a tractor owner should watch out for with this model? and what might your sight unseen guess be at a decent price?
