I found a 1066 in central Ny for sale for $9850. Does this sound like a reasonable price?. It is freshly painted with a cab that is in good condition with heat and no ac. I can't find any mechanical problems although the shifter handles are silver instead of black like most 1066's I've seen. Also it has 50% 18.4 38 tires. Does this price sound fair or should I keep looking? Thanks

Jimmy: I think dhermesc has given you some good advice in his most recent post. With 6600 hours and no record of any rebuilds being done that tractor could turn out to be a money pit. Get the warranty or walk away.

Well the dealer has no history on it. As of right now there is nothing wrong with it, its a 1972 model, is there any thing that was differernt about that year? The hours are 6600 Thanks

Sounds kind of high for my area (Kansas) but then if the 6600 hours are actual and its in good shape its not too far out of line for a dealer. If the dealer is representing it as "good" he shouldn't have any problems warrantying it for at least a few hundred hours or a 3-4 months at that price. If he won't back the tractor with a warranty at that price keep looking. You can buy it blind off a consignment aution for $4000-6000 any day of the week around here.
