Hi, I have heard of people putting an International V8 truck engine in Farmall M's, and I was wondering if I could possibly do it to an H?. I don't think this is the route I'm going to go, but I thought I would look into it.
thanks

See the post above about 6-cylinder M's; then go to the Tractor Pulling forum and see the post about the truck engine (345), and then check out ChadS's 460H. I think that, under the torque of the V8's, the H transmission would be your safety valve; in other words, I think you'd probably damage the transmission before you got into other serious trouble because of the power.

But that's just my opinion, and there are a lot of wiser and more experienced folks here than I.

Unless you widen the frame rails, You will be getting into the oil galley when you cut the 345 block. It is real close when you put them in an M
