A NCN(non computer neighbor) ask me to post this question for him. He would like to fabricate a simple hitch for his 460 so that he could flat tow(all wheels on ground) it between hay fields with another tractor. He doesn't want to damage the power steering on the 460 in the process. Can he do it safely?

I've towed my 560 for the last 6 years like that and haven't had a problem. Never thought about it before you brought it up though.

Val,
How far do you tow your 560 in one move? Do you have any hitch fabrication dimensions, recommendations or warnings?
Thanks,
Mel

I built one from some scrap and imagination. I like the idea of its better to overbuild than to have to rebuild.
