I-140 rear axle removal

I have removed the domed cover, I have removed the bolt / washers / spacer- gave a couple of good tugs but the axle is not coming out of the case. Stopping for now looking for whats next. Thanks AL

Al, I forgot to tell you to remove bottom pan. Then hold drive gear with pry bar; tap axle in and out until it breaks loose from gear. It will take more than just a pull, use a brass punch or wood block. Looked in the manual this time, this should work.

Thank you, DBigDog was over today, good visit. A little extra tapping and knowing the bull gear needed held in position was all I needed, going to finish up latter. Hoping NAPA has the seals. Al
