I have my carb apart and would like to do a good job getting it back to good working order. I was looking at my parts manual and noticed screw plugs for the idle jet and the nozzle bleed. I looked at my carb and the look like they need replaced. The heads are all beat up and I do not know how to take them out. I cleaned them out and I think they work OK but unsure. Both fluids and air move freely through them and are not clogged. Should I worry about them or try to get them out. Suggestions?? Also the float. I checked the float and held it under gas for a day. No leaks were found so thaey must be alright. The manual stated that it must be set at 11/64 from the throttle base to float flat point. Is this correct or should I try something else. My point is that the float sticks from time to time and I thought the float was bad. Suggestions? PaulG from Nova Scotia
