Is it possible to remove the cam without pulling off the entire front end on a 1066? I have no way of holding up the front of the tractor if I have to remove the front end. One mechanic thought you could remove the LH frame rail and radiator and have enough room to bring the pulley off the crank, and the cam out the front. Is he right?

PCY: No, I am not an IH mechanic, thanks. I have the tractor split, head and push rods removed, and lifters. I know you have to take off the front cover, what I was wondering is if I have to pull off the whole front end like the book says to accomplish this, or if I can cheat and cram everything out by just removing the radiator and the frame subrail? It was a mechanic from IH that thought it might be possible, but he wasn't sure.
