After another cup of coffee and a homemade cookie I am going out to plow snow for the first time with my recently purchased Farmall 340 rowcrop. I got a rear blade with the tractor and am wondering if the blade floats with the hydraulic lever lowered all the way? My Ford 2N with front Dearborn blade will sit this one out in the barn. I sure liked plowing looking forward. Before plowing, I am going to 'pose' my Farmall for pictures. So...please hurry with a reply. Thanks in advance.

I just came in from plowing 8" of snow from my driveways. The blade does not float. They have down pressure so it takes some getting used to, If you put it all the way down then you can scrape ice away but if you start to lose traction you have to lift just a little. I love to push snow with mine my driveway is blacktop and I scrape it clean

you should have a 1/2 inch bolt or pin on the rod that drops from the cylinder arm to the lift arms that you can pull and have float if its got the same fasthitch as our 300.
