My buddy Augi just bought a '49 super A . The right rear wheel center is a cast weight of about 100 lbs(to take a guess ) The left is a stamping like on a Cub, with a thick reinforcing ring around the lug bolt circle. There is also a sprocket for a check wire planter inside that wheel. Is there a reason for the wheel centers being different,or just a repair using available / junk parts ?

This is the way the A's came out from the factory. The weightof the cast wheel on the right side along with the weight of the operator compensated for the weight of the engine and drive-train on the left.
