I'm having trouble w/ my C with the 113 motor. it has developed a terrible gas leak between the carburator & the aircleaner. Gas leaks/ pours out of the bottom of the aircleaner. It does this as soon as the petcock is opened, it does it still while running??? Any ides?? It won't stop until i shut the petcock or the tank is empty.

pull the carb apart and check the float. Sounds like it developed a hole and sunk to the bottom. Or it needs a new seat. Check both

Josh, When you get the carbuter fixed be sure to check the oil, when my SC did this it filled the crank case full of gas and gas makes a lousy moter oil.

I would not run if the carb is flooding. Maybe you have a hole in the gas line and rhe gas is running down the back of the air cleaner and driping off the bottom.

Everything said so far is true. I too, am supprised that it would continue to run with gas running out of air intake tube because this would cause a severe flooding situation. Lightly tapping on carb, and or engine vibration while running, might shake a stuck valve or float loose so it will function properly. This is ussually a tempirary fix, if it fixes it, and will likely do it again. Most likely you will have to disassemble the carb to see what exactly is causing it. One of three things. Sticking needle valve, sticking or hole in float, or float level is set way to high. Never the less, even without a carb problem, it is a good habbit to get into on shutting gas off while tractor is not in use. I do it on all of mine. No telling how much gas I have saved over the years.

Right off the bat I would say the needle valve or float or both are sticking. Sometimes some light tapping on the side of the carb will unstick them. I would not run it with gas running out of the breather. That would make me a little nervous. Might be time for a carb cleaning and rebuild.

hmmm....
leaking out of the aircleaner?
You mean the air intake tube to the carburetor.
The float must me stuck open inside the carb allowing fuel to pour into the bowl and then drain right out the updraft(air cleaner tube).
Sometimes the float will touch the side wall and get stuck so some tapping with a rubber mallet on the bottom bowl of the carb may loosen it. Other than that, you may have developed a hole in the float and it is sunk. Should probably take the carb apart and see if anything like a big flake of rust is keeping the needle valve from closing.
