I don't like Centari. I used single stage (No hardner) on the door jambs of my Cadi 10 years ago, it is fading. Used Glaserite on the outside (Base coat, clear coat), still looks like new. If you want the best use Dupont Imron. Single stage will outshine most base/clear coats.

Isn't anyone using Imron by DuPont? How does it compare to Centuri. I always thought it was the best. It needs no hardener and can be wet sanded and buffed.

if you don't have the proper resperator that stuff will shorten your lifespan or at the least kill what good brain cells ya have left.i do know people that still use it or at least that was about a year ago so couldn't tell ya if it's still made or not.

I have used centari alot and like it. Always always use the hardener. If you have to do over you don't have to wait. I have also used the "performance pack" hardener If they still make it its supposed to rival basecoat clearcoat. It is quite shiny but more money also easy to spray.

Go to your local PPG store and ask about their OMNI line of urathane paint.. I personally like using the 2 stage (base coat and clear coat) better than single stage, cuz for me it's alot easier to control. You can remove sags out of the clearcoat with a razor blade, and sand and buff.

i myself have used dupont for over 20 years, never did like the results i got from ppg.but then there are people out there that like ppg instead of dupont as for the centari i have used it on numerous occasions if you do use it use the gloss hardner as it will dry to the touch in about 15 minutes versus 45 min to hour if lucky.keeps the dust down a little better i myself for tractors like the ih paint,it will stick to anything and you don't have to worry about fisheye when it does hit grease etc.but on the tin parts you will have dust in it i have had thought on the next one i paint to paint the motor trans diff etc with the ih paint and for the tin use the base clearcoat it's easy enough to match these days plus as dave said you can wetsand out the imperfections.then buff.the cast parts are rough and you don't need that mirror finish on them.has anybody tried doing it this way
