Well not realy but close. i think it looks kind'a neat with the wheels back a little, shorter wheelbase. Is it a keeper? Yes, It's stuck. serial numbers all match but I need donor tractors.

There's a similarly-modified F-30 sitting just outside of Valentine. However on that one they used the truck frame to stretch out the wheelbase by about three feet. I watched it sell on an auction about ten years ago, but the money must not have come through since it's still sitting right where it was that day. They started it for the sale, too. I have an F-12 with what appears to be an old car or truck straight axle under the front. It's crude, but it pivots in the center like a factory wide front, no leaf springs. Also, and my memory's a little foggy here, I seem to remember seeing an F-20 with a factory wide front in a junkyard in Harrison NE about 15 years ago. Maybe Allen could slip down there sometime and check that out if it's still there? I do remember for sure there was one there with dual brake pedals....

this one has foot bracks too. I am still trying to figure out if they are aftermarket or home-made. a neighbor here has an F12 with homemade wide front. Lots of welding, drop spindles and all. It was his dad's tractor.

Looks neat! Was it a decent modification? Was the bolster cut off to make the steering linkage line up? Those frame rails look like a good place to mount a lift for a snowplow.

Did you find that in Nebraska or did you have to drive up to S Dakota? Did the history come with the tractor? You may have found a money pit there. Dick Davis

NC,

If you decide to fix it up, don't forget the chrome wrap-around grille guard. :>)

Kind of a neat old setup ya have there.

Allan
