I need a little help with figuering out the plumbing on the belly pump of my H.

There are two ports or holes on the left side of the belly pump and one on the right. which is out flow and what is return ?

I have a cylinder off an old hesston swather that im thinking of using to lift a snow blade on teh tractor. It's a single acting off the header lift. Could i use this and which port would i plumb it too. Thanxs .

I have a three point on my H. It is hooked into the right front fitting. Later on I wanted a remote so I put a good quarter turn valve into the three point line to hold the three point steady and put the remote into the back port (delayed action) works for me. The delayed action port raised the front cultivators at the end of the row then the back part, when you turn and started back it put the front in first and then the back. Probably could be used on other things as well. Cultivating was all I ever saw.

Rusty described how to pipe it up. The Lift all control rod has three positions. All the way forward is release or down. The fluid is released from the cylinder back into the reservoir and the implement goes down by gravity. All the way back is lift. Internal control valve in the lift all directs oil from the pump to the pressure ports and thus the cylinder. The half way point (the latch on the underside of the control rod is "hold". The load is held at the current postition, neither suppling fluid or allowing release from the cylinder.

You would plumb it into the port on the right side of the tractor, or the forward port on the left side, the rear port on the left side is a delayed action port for another implement, do not use it. The ports are all pressure, or lift if you will, when you pull the control lever toward you. When you push the lever away from you, then all of the ports are return. The weight of the implement you are using will push the hydraulic oil back into the reservoir when you let it down.
