When you install more than one set of one piece rear wheel weights do you bolt all the weights to the rim or just the first set and then bolt the other sets to the first set? The later is what it almost looks like in the manual but its hard to tell.

I have one set on that came with the tractor, bought 2 more sets to put on. Long story short, I removed 3 of the bolts holding on the first weight, after much grunting and groaning got a hole lined up and realized my new bolts were 1/2" too short, then looked at the manual.

thanks.

As Nebraska Cowman said you would normally bolt the first one to the hub and then attach the next one to the first one. If you are not planning on removing the weights for any reason you can get some long 3/4" readi rod and bolt all of them together. The center opening of the weight is oblong to line up with the bolts to tighten the hub to the axle. If the weights are installed properly you can loosen and tighten the hub to slide the wheel in or out without having to remove the weights. For the purists the bolts for the weights are 3/4" x 3 3/4" square head bolts with hex head nuts. If looks are not a problem then the readi rod works just fine. The square heads fit in the recesses of the weights so that you don't need a wrench to hold the bolt while tightening the nut.
