Farmall H drawbar question

I have a '41 H with strange looking brackets attached to each side of the axle housing. They do not look like the oper manual picture showing a "u" type drawbar brackets. These have 1 1/4" (or so)holes on top set on top of the bracket assembly. As if you could place a bar thru it to pivot something. When I bought the tractor it did not have what ever fits in there, nor did it have any drawbar. Any thoughts on what this setup is for>? Could this be a setup for a quickhitch 2pt that was aftermarket then removed?

One purpose for the brackets was for the support for the elevator for either the model 20 or the 24 mounted two row corn picker.

The two bolts that pivot in the part that clamps to the rear of the axle housing were the same for all rear mounted implements. The part that clamps to the front of the axle could be for about anything, and there were a lot of variations. Also, some implements used inner brackets, some outer. The drawbar used the inner brackets. Your setup was not for a quickhitch.

Probably an adapter for a corn picker or cultivator. My Super M has corn picker attachment.

I don't know for sure about yours, but there were several implements that mounted to the rear axles in place of the drawbar. It could very well be that you have what is left of one of these implements. Possibly corn picker mountings.
