I'd hate to sound like I was bragging but I felt like I wanted to share my success. Today I got the new batteries for my 460d bled the injectors and warmed the glowplugs and with a second or two of holding the starter button she fired right up. That was music to my ears it was the first time I herd her run in about 5 months. For me being 16 and it being my first prodject tractor it felt good to acomplish what I did. After replacing the injectors and installing the re-worked injector pump she still diddent have that power I was looking for. So I turned to the head sure enough number two cillinder wasent even fireing if it was it was very seldom. after taking the head off and sending it to a machine shop were it was welded up along with new seats guides and oversized valves and a new valve spring and a port polish job she was ready to run. After months of waiting and mutch anticipation I put the head on and all the other goodies and fired her up. It was the greatest fealing of accomplishment i ever felt. I would greatly advise young kids like myself getting into restoring an old piece of history like a tractor. Sorry for boring all you readers but i felt like i had to tell someone about my accomplishment. Oh and be sure to see me next year in easturn michigan pullin her. If anyone has any tips please email me or respond with them. thatnk you for letting me share my experiances with you and good luck on all your prodjects to come.

Well, good for you. I am not 16, but I am not retired yet either. I like to hear these stories of breathing new life into a tired or broken tractor, partial to red as well.Keep posting as often as you can, pics are good too.

Jason,

This isn't boring at all; on the contrary.

With all the weird stuff that is going on in the world today, it is very refreshing to hear these stories of you younger lads that are headed in the proper direction.

Glad ya got 'er going,

Allan

Congratulations, I know the feeling, even though I haven't been sixteen for quite a few years now, I still get that same feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment.
