I have a Lo-Boy that the steering is pretty loose. I think most of the slop is in the yoke that both tie rods connect to under the tractor. Does anyone know if this part could/should be built up with welding - or should it be replaced? and what either choice might cost?
And what is the correct name for this part?
Thanks

Mine had to be stiffened by a good welder. The LoBoy 154 part(s) #s are: 1) Support assembly, Steering Lever: 404-597-R1 (this is the "bracket" that bolts to the frame on both sides just in front of the oil pan)

2) Lever, Steering: 404-600-R1 (this is the "L" shaped machined casting that your draglink rod & tie rods connect to)

3) Don't know costs of the above. Your nearest Case/IH dealer should be able to accomodate you.

I have a 1970 Cub Lo-boy 154 and it has loose steering also. I just wondered how you came out and what it ran you. Don't know if you'll check this board out but Thank You R. Fleenor
