The 2150 version (71310) seems to have too much orange in it. I painted a C with it a year ago, mostly noticeable on the cast, but eventually the orange changed to mostly red. Looked okay on the tin. I'm not sure that will happen on the Super H I am doing now, as it seems more orange than I remember, have not done the tin yet. I suppose it could have been mixed wrong, as there will be varibility from one batch to another. I am considering (really don't want to) sanding it and giving it 1 or 2 coats of 70019 (IH 50), which is the "correct" paint anyway. IH 50 is a slightly brighter red than 2150. Has anyone used both of these paints (preferably mixed as PPG, DuPont, or Sherwin Williams/NAPA) and is 2150 more orange than 50, and did the orange color eventually go more red as the solvents evaporated? I am talking about Omni acrylic urethane, don't think the pigment in acrylic enamel is much different. 8 months in this thing, then the wrong color---.

Same thing happened to me on my H. Started with the Omni 71310 and didn't like it for the exact same reason - too orange. I am much more pleased with the 70019. Fortunately, I had only sprayed one cup full before deciding to switch. I have no idea how the 71310 would look over time. Judging by the way red fades, dont expect it to improve.

The good news is that you don't have to do much sanding on the paint you've applied. A very light scuff would be the most you'd need to do. Cast iron surfaces shouldn't need anything.
