Found an "M" for sale. Serial number tag says FBK-85384 X 1 or maybe X I. What year is it? It's got fair paint. Needs tires bad plus two new front rims to make it right. Shows a little damage to the hood around the stack. Starts good and runs like a hundred dollar watch. What's a fair dollar number for a good working class "M" (not a parade ready rig). Thanks.

Boy, I feel bad. I only gave the guy $750 for a 49 'M'. Runs great, great tin, fenders, two way hydrolics on the belly pump and wheel weights. But, the back tires are shot and the front tires are fair.

I bought a 1948 M in about that same shape for $1100. Cost me a few $$ for delivery and then I put new tires all around.

$1000 would be a good price if it runs that good. If it has any of these goodies, so much the better: precleaner, pto sheild, emblems, fenders, belt pulley, swinging drawbar--all expensive stuff to add later.

Any M that is complete and decent is $1000. For that matter try and find Any GOOD running tractor with good tin on it for under $1000. Usually any less than that and there is a mechanical or bad cosmetic problem to deal with.

Depends on the paint and where it is. Repainted will make a big differnce over decent old paint. In my part of the world(n.IL/s.WIS)with newer decent paint you probably couldn't buy it for less than 1200. There is one along the road for sale near here with decent original paint live hyd. and factory fenders for 1650, tires are fair. Also things like live hyd, power steering and such will add value as well

1944.. if you have a narrow front it's probably worth around $800 with the condition of tires you describe. The X1 means gasoline engine
