Farmall A with vacuum lift

I recently acquired an old Farmall "A" with a vacuum lift and a rear-mount sickle mower. The lift cylinder is on the right side if you're sitting on the seat. The lift linkage for the mower, is on the left. I have seen this mower on a 140 with rockshafts, but how do you lift it with the vacuum? Can anyone help?
Thanks

You better get a little more familar with your tractor. You do not have a vacuum system there was never such a thing. It is worked off the exhaust. The A and B were the only tractors ever to use this type of a system from 39-47 they work well.

Ok. Mainifold lift then. The old timer I bought it from said it was a "vacuum". How does it connect to the mower?

You will have to get the manual for the mower and it will show the lift kit for the lift-all system. IF i were there i could figure it out you maybe dont have all the parts i do not have any pics of a mower with this type of lift. Just seen some manuals at PORTLAND that mite have helped. This lift system was used for moldboard plows middle buster plows front and rear planters cultivators just need to dig a manual for the sickle mower. I will look at old threshers this weekend for one.

Thanks. I am thinking the "ram" (I don't know what else to call it) can be moved to the other side. My brother has the same mowing machine on his 140, but he has rockshafts on the side and a chain with pulleys to pick it up.
