PAINT DRY BETWEEN COATS? HE WANTS TO PUT ON TWO COATS BEFORE WE RE-ASSEMBLE AND A THIRD AFTER SHE IS ALL TOGETHER
WHICH SUITS ME, BUT WHATS THE PROPER TIME FOR THIS

Hank,
I generally start by hitting the hard to get places first with the hood and grill off.....then paint the under side of hood and grill...carefuly install these parts.....might want to paint the gas tank while it is off...now start with a sticky coat....about 60--70% coverage...over the entire tractor ....then start right back over with a wet coat( slower = more paint)...run your gun across the top...up and down on the sides(get hard to get places first) ...wait about 20 - 30 min.(paint still sticky but stable)...now add your second coat same as last, except now run your gun front to back ....you are crossing first coat strokes 90*be careful this is your last coat..... .lay it on like you were using a brush..... I hope this helps.....Don

I can't answer your question, but that ought to be one good-looking C when you are through. Make sure you post some pictures.
