I was wondering what a 1951 W-9 with near perfect tin and fenders, runs well, has new front tires and matched and good 18.4x34's on teh back would be worth, and it also has IH live hydraulics and belt pulley. it has a soft plug leak right now , how much would that hurt the value? Also what model tractor would be a fair swap for it? Just wondering , cant decide wheater to get rid of it or make it a pullin tractor? Dave M

I would think that it should be worth $1400-$1700. The W9's were a good tractor, but are rather hard to move around. If you think that you would want to sell it, let us know where you are located or give me an email. Thanks!!

Out here in the western states they run anywere from $500 to $1500 running also depending on how good the sheet metal. Problem with these tractor they are so heavy an big that lots of people don"t have the trailer/equipment to haul them. I have two WD9's an looking at another, I like the look they have, sort of low but powerful. As far as what tractor would be a trade it depends on what the person on the receiving end needs, your getting a 40plus horse power tractor, what do they need if it's less then I'd say an reg H or M in fair shape depending on HP needed. The thing to do is ask, "what are you looking for in a trade " or " how much " . Last but not least is how much are you will to give up to get a W9, they are good pulling tractors an will surprize you with the power they have, sooooo oo how much are you will to part with to get it is the question :o) BTW to stur the pot a little a friend of mine just sold on in Montana with good sheet metal, clean, running, in very good shape for $500 an he didn't tell me about it till it was gone the durty dog :o) LOL
