Sickle bar mower guard :Super A OUCH $

The saw teeth in the mower guards (19 of them total) on my old sickle bar mower are shot. I called the Case dealer and gave him the IH part # (MC 2041) and he quoted me at 6.05 each. Didnt know they were quite that high. Any ideas on where to get aftermarket guards or do they even make them? Thanks!

Thought I would try one more time. If you replaced all your guards and still have them, I might be interested in buying them from you. It would offset the cost of the new ones you mentioned buying. In any case, if you are interested, let me know. Regards, Terry

Just change the ledger plates, that is if your machine uses them.

I noticed your follow up. Any chance you might have some used sickle guards laying around. I am looking for some to rebuild for a mower I am working on. I am looking for the either MA, MB, or MC 2041 guards. Reguards, Terry

Pat, Im assuming your talking about the rockguards. You can buy brand new rockguards from Valu-Buil* for $3.99 @ pc. They work great for me, on my 16A mower, although I only mow about 10 acres four times a year. Ill get the number if your interested.

Pat, Order number 756007 $3.99 @ pc on page 319 of 2003 catalog. Hope this helps. I got the new knife bar from Columbia Tractor in Claverack,Ny for about $75.
