I purchased an older internationl tractor with a front loader and 3 point hitch and a 4 cyl. gas engine. The person I purchased the tractor from was supposed to bring me the manual but never came back. Can someone tell me how I can identify this tractor? Would there be a serial # somewhere?
Any help on trying to identify this tractor would be greatly appreciated, it does not run but the engine turns over. Thanks

Need more info. How many gears in the transmission? Does the three-point hitch look like a factory setup? What size rear tires? Would you say it's a Utility tractor or a Row-Crop? Serial/Model number tag is usally on the clutch housing. Look at pictures in the photo gallery (on the left side of your screen, click "Tractor Photos" under "Galeries") Look into the models 300, 330, 350, 340, and 504 first.

Also look for S/N on the right side of the bell housing or the housing right behind the bell housing.

At the left of this page, there is a link for serial numbers...also, there is a link for photos..... just search through these and you can find what you need to know.
As to the location of the serial numbers, that varies some.
I'm new to Internationals so someone with more experience can answer that for you..I know that some had the serial number on a plate on the tool box under the seat.

Almost impossible for anyone to guess what you have got from what you have said. I would suggest that you go to the left side of this form and scroll down to "Galleries" and then click on "Tractor Photos" then enter "International" in the serarch and go from there. If I were to guess I would have you look at a 300 Utility first.

GOOD LUCK

Big John, no offense, but why in the world would you assume a 300? Most all of the letter and 4 cylinder number series could be retrofitted for a three-point hitch. Just curious.
