Several weeks ago my old iron buddy and myself had to opportunity to obtain 2 Framall A's. These were in a barn on property that was to be developed for a subdivision. Had to get them off the property by end of January. It was quite an adventure recovering them. All 8 tires were flat and the tractors had sunk down in the dirt floor. All tires held air! The next challenge was getting them out of the barns. The barn yard was low and with heavy rain lately the yard was flooded. Used all the tow strap and chain my buddy and I had, about 60' of it. Loaded his tractor on the trailer and took it over to the place. Put his tractor on the high ground and pulled both tractors through the barn yard pond one at a time.

Got them home and checked the serial #'s. One is a 1939 and the other is a 1941. Both engines were stuck. Got the 1941 Framall A unstuck and getting it ready to attempt a start. Still working on the 1939 A. Soaking pistons with Marvel Mystery Oil and such. Hope to get it free soon. One of the tractors had a set of cultivators and the other has a middle buster on the back.

Glad we were able to save them from the junk man.

Hi Gerald, you are a lucky person to have found this "Gold Mine". You are the envy of all who are seeking their "find" in old tractors. this is sort of the same story with myself last summer in acquiring a super C which was in an old barn with a dirt floor and at the time of pulling the tractor out of the barn, kept hoping the barn would not fall down as it was in a condition of being beyond repairs. Cheers, Murray

Congrats! Thanks for saving these Farmalls. Every tractor deserves a second chance, to bad no one could save the land from money hungry developers.

Take care, Fireman
