I hope i'm not too late, and i hope you get this. I own a 140, and have had it for a little over 11 years. we do have a three point attatchments for it, so i know you can get them. we use a bush hog on it, along with cultivators, multiple planters, and a lot of other implements on the three point. if you have any questions just email me. tnenn@yahoo.com i love older tractors, and think that the 140 is one of the better tractors made, for some things.

I anm restoring a 140 and would like to buy a set of decals for it. Also I would appreciate any help on how to adjust the steering to remove excess play. Steering wheel moves nearly 1/2 turn now before engaging. The is no up or down movement of the steering wheel. Thanks for any help.

Hi there

I've got a 1951 Farmall 140 with hydrolics, (although mine does not have the connecting rods - no need yet). As far as I know, all 140s have the offset PTO (on the left side). This was called "Culti-Vision" b/c it allowed the farmer a clear view of the crops below. Be advised - this tractor does NOT accept the standard 3pt hitch...why? B/c the PTO is offset. I've been told people can "rig-up-somethin'-fer-ya" but that it is reccommended against. This is really something to consider, especially since a post-hole-digger can require a good deal of force - not always a good idea on a machine that is offset like the 140. If you can figure out a way though, let me know...i could use one myself. Bush hog...well, the trick is lining up the PTO shaft with the PTO on the tractor - again, good luck. Maybe a belt driven - pull behind model...if you can figure out a way, please let me know....I'd love one too

On the positive side, this is a fun little machine...I've got a belly mounted mowing deck on it, and am purchasing a snow / grading blade...

Pete
