Times are really tough in the machine trade.. Where are you located? I closed the doors on my shop.. all the work is going over to China, thanx to our traitorous polititions.

Sorry to here that. I also am a tool maker and I have read that the chinese are turning out toolmakers and machinists by the tens of thousands. Of course they work for pennys on the dollar. And the damn value of the dollar is too high which makes foreign goods even cheaper. Of course the politicians dont really care, all they say is "thats the free market". The only real luck we could get is if China invaded Taiwan and caused a trade embargo with the US.

A great many professional white collar people; bureauacrats, lawyers, engineers, etc. are quite happy the way it is. They see very clearly the way for them to have more is for tradesmen, farmers, construction workers, etc. to have less. They allready have the cleaners, store clerks, etc ground to the poverty line. You are the next group in the pecking order. I supose if they push far enough, they may get Bin Laden and his croud working on the assembly lines at Mercedes, Porsche, Jaguar, etc. That may be a solution.
