Trying to replace the seal behind the brake drum. Have been told that they are wet seals and I should expect some leakage. I have never seen a double seal leak. Mine leak way to much so I know they need replaced would like to know what to expect with new ones.

Go with the RED and for gosh sakes be carefull pulling the seal case out , you have a bearing right behind it and if you get too rambuncious you can destroy the bearing cage and then you have major repair. good luck from Mike in Exeter Ontario

The new seals will not leak at all if the brake drum shaft is not pitted. Use offset plyers and give that double seal a good yank. The core will pull out. Then you will have to do some chiseling before yanking out the shell. I recommend you go back with 2 of the new thinner seals per side. Four seals will cost you roughly $75.
