Engine spins over, but won't start. Spark at plug is lazy, yellowish and weak looking. Have changed coils, points and condenser. Any ideas?

Joe.. when you find the problem, let us know what it was. I learn from the trials of others as much as anyone.

Gap the plugs? New plugs? Do they all have the same bad spark?

Do you have a good, solid voltage at the coil? A poor connection at any end of the wire feeding the coil could cause a significant voltage drop.

Also, check the spark right from the coil. If it is nice and blue, your distributor cap could be defective or dirty.

I might also add... check the ground inside your distributor. If the points aren't getting a good ground, you won't get a good current flow through the coil.

Check also to make sure the condenser has a good, clean ground inside the distributor. Also check if someone stuck resistor (aka "RF surpression") plug wires on the tractor. If they did, throw 'em out and replace with good old solid copper wires!

Also check the grommets or insulators on your distributor were there is connections or terminals. I had this on my M, resulting in a weak spark. It drove me nuts for several weeks before we tracked it down. Check these using an ohm meter looking for voltage leakage between the terminal and the distributor body.
