My Dad found the exact same bearing at an industrial supply the next day for 58.00. I agree case parts are good but they are getting outrageous on some of thier parts. Thanks for the help.

I agree with DD's post...you may find a cheaper bearing but guaranteed it will have fewer balls in it and of lessor quality than that Case IH Bearing. Sometimes it worth it to pay the pauper. It will help keep that dealer in business so he's there the next time you need him.//FB

If there is an industrial supply near you,try them.Applied Industrial Supply,Motion Inc,Wisconsin Bearing are three that come to mind.Look for a number stamped into either the inner or outer race of the bearing and give them the number. If it is a standard bearing, they will be able to match it.If the manufacture is stamped somewhere on the bearing, that will also help.If these guys can't help,my advice would be to go back to IH.I know their parts are expensive, but I have yet to go wrong with thier parts.

If you dont want to use the tractor for heavy duty work you could use a cheaper bearing, however the correct bearing has a grade code of max, which means in bearing talk it is loaded with maximum amout of balls they can get in space allowed, IH Part ST218A about $70. Its your call, you get what you pay for.
