I have 12/4 11.36 tires on my Farmall 230 1959. The local dealer says I need a special rim made up for a whopping $270 and freight to replace one. That just aint gonna happen in my lifetime. So just what is the rim size for this tire? As best I can measure it its 36 across and about 10" wide as best I can measure with everything in the way. Any grand ideas for less than Mercedes benz prices or do I have to get out the welder, its nasty rusted and falling apart by the tire valve.

Punch below. Miller does show an 11x36 rim for substantially less money then you were quoted.

Those tires Miller has are plain rims with no lugs in 36 /11. My luga are bolted on somehow it seems. Have any of you guys ever converted to lugs like this? Locating them would be a snap. Any ideas? $200 or less with shipping seems not so terrible. The first thing it will get is 35-40% Sams Club antifreeze mix. Its never frozen in my Ferguson and up in Northern NY thats saying something. At -$30/ tire its still a bargain.

I would give Miller Tire a call next week. Phone number is at the bottom of their webpage. Describe to them your model and what your rims are like. They might have them. I don't think they post their whole inventory on their website. I bought tires and rims from them for a Farmall H 3 years ago. Rim even had the welded on blocks to fit the slot on the hubs!

If you are going to fill the tires, you might want to get painted and primed rims from Miller if available in your size.

I will have to call them. Unfortunately this beasty needs the weight to counter that loader which is about all I use it for. Thanx for the help guys!

Cut out the section that is bad ...Make your self up a patch and weld it in and finish it,ready to paint....Then mesure off of the good rim,for the valve hole...go to a differn't area on the repaired rim and drill a new hole for the valve.....you have just made $300 to buy other parts.....

If it is solid everwhere but around the valve stem it can probably be repaired, I replaced part of a 38" rim with a section of rim I could out of an old dual rim. Anymore 36" tires and rims are few and far between so that price might not be bad for a new one. You might be able to switch both back tires to another size cheaper than a new 36" rim.
