I just purchased a 650 propane that is extremely slow starting. It sat in a shed for approx. 2 years. I don't know much about propane but I think it is a fuel problem. Anyone have any suggestions for this model or propane tractors in general? Thanks

Are you trying to start it on vapor or liquid? Need a little more info. Are you using the choke? Some HAVE to be choked to start.

I am trying to start on vapor and have tried the choke. It will not start at all after it has run awhile. After it cools off, it will start after 5 minutes of cranking.

Hmmmmm, have you tried ether? I also have a Moline that has a primer button on the carb that has to be pressed before it will start. Does the 650 have this? I have never saw a 650 propane. Just another thought. Sounds kinda strange to me. Is the airflow resricted in any way? Are all the carb and regulator hoses clean?

I replaced the points, condenser, and coil, touched the starter button and it fired right up. I had spark across the old points when I seperated them w/ a screwdriver. I guess it just wasn't enough. Thanks for your insight. I don't know a thing about propane so I may question you again in the future!
