I have seen ads for the Woods mowers and Danco mowers with fast hitch, and all of them say they are for the cubs. Why will they not work on a SA or 140 with FH? If they don't work with the SA's, who makes one that does, and where do you find one? Thanks in advance.

Marty: Havn't seen you posting much lately, must be busy hoeing potatoes. Potatoes must be up. I am looking at these mowers too. I looked at one couple days ago called a Befco. It is designed as a 3 point hitch mower. Dealer tells me he has turned the gear box facing rearward and fabricated a belt driven pto shaft under transmission of Super A. Mower has 4 caster wheels like a Kubota. Pto is 540 The price is aprox. $1,800. Cdn and it is built in your backyard. Befco Inc., PO Box 6036, Rocky Mount, NC, 27802 6036 Phone 800 334 6617 Power shaft has push button disconnect at each end. With 4 casters that would make it easy to get it from under tractor. I wanted to see one, he didn't have one in stock. That is a lot less money than a Woods. Kubota has a good looking shaft drive belly mount mower, but the shaft speed is 2500 rpm and its more money than the Woods. Hugh

The reason they won't work w/the Super A's or 140 is because a cubs pto is different. A cubs pto spins opposite everything else, and is a smaller size shaft. I think woods still makes them w/fast hitch, we have a woods RM59 fast hitch for our 140, and we bought it new about 6 or 7 years ago. Good mowers, ours gets alot of use, so far only thing we've had to repair except for the occassional belt was the bushings in the wheels.
