Need help timing the crank gear and cam gear and dist. gear.
I am looking in the IH-8 shop manual and it says to time the single marked tooth of the crank shaft between the two marked teeth on the cam shaft gear. I only have one mark on both the crank gear and the cam gear? just line them two up? I see it says to line up the singel marked tooth to the double mark on the distributer?
am I over looking the marked teeth?
I am also having trouble bolting the idler pulley up. anyone have any luck with doing theres?
thanks
Chad Penny

I believe the single punch marks between the crank gear and cam gear should be lined up. On mine I had a set up double puch marks on the cam and dist drive gear that were then lined up. HTH Mike
