I bought this '50 H in 1997 in parts ... Went through the whole tractor, started it and drove it down the drive for the first time tonight! What a rush! 70 psi oil pressure, no leaks .. life is good! Gotta get the idle down tomorrow .. idles too fast!

Grant old boy...good job!, on that idling problem check the horizontal aluminum tube that connects the carburetor to the governor , loosen and adjust while engine is running and see if that helps

Congratulations Grant! There is not a better feeling than bringing an idled piece of farm machinery to life after it has laid dormant for quite some time. I definitely felt that thrill when the JD 4400 combine came to life after 6 or 7 dormant years.
